The Au Chuang

Although it is not as common in modern times, the preparation of the matrimonial bed (The Au Chuang) is an important Chinese wedding tradition. The pair gives their relatives tea, which is typically served with two flower seeds or red times in each cup.

The home-going festival, also known as Vidaai or Rukshat, is another custom that is frequently observed at an Eastern bridal. A mangalsutra, a gold and black jewellery that represents eternal security and unites the couple as one, will be given by the bridegroom to his bride. The bride will then depart from her parents ‘ home and move in with her husband’s family.
